You must pass an English language test to prove your knowledge of English when you apply for a visa with the UKVI (UK Visa and Immigration).
There are 20 Test Centres approved by the UK Visa and Immigration office to conduct these English Tests.

You must pass B1 test if you want to apply for British Passport / Naturalisation Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR)
You must pass A2 Test if you want to apply for Visa Extension or Leave to Remain
You must pass A1 Test if you want to apply for Spouse or Partner Visa
As per Home Office guidelines, any applicant who is applying for Naturalisation / British passport or Indefinite Leave to Remain is required to show good knowledge of English. English B1 Test is approved by the Home Office. It is speaking and listening test only and the duration of the test is 10 minutes. The course book for practice is provided for free after the test booking.
As per Home Office guidelines, any applicant who is applying Spouse Extension visa in the UK is required to pass English A2 Test. This test is given by the candidate who has already lived in the UK for more than 2 years on Spouse Visa and now applying for Extension of visa. It is speaking and listening test only. The course book for practice is provided for free after the test booking.
As per Home Office guidelines, any applicant who is applying Spouse visa in the UK is required to pass English A1 Test. English A1 Test requires basic proficiency on English. It is speaking and listening test only. The result will be provided on the same day. The course book for practice is provided for free after the test booking.
UKVI only accepts Photo IDs for the purpose of exams. Your ID must be valid on the date of the exam, and you must have it with you on the day of the exam. Any photocopies or notarised of orginal will not be accepted. You must bring the same same ID document that you have used during booking to the exam centre.

All results for English Test (B1 / A2 / A1) are declared after 1 working day of your exam. You can check the result through our website. However, you will receive the certificate within 7 working days.
